Summer’s coming to an end but poplin dresses are still hot and will carry you nicely into fall. I fell in love with this one on my recent trip to the Hamptons.

Checking out the Mill in Sandwich, Mass in my new blue poplin Duck and Weave dress

I discovered that rainy days during beach vacations can prove useful. We spent the day wandering South Hampton, bopping from mini golf to children’s museums, until finally we found ourselves in the quaint(?) village shopping at some of the best stores I’ve seen on vacation. Here are some similar cool poplin dresses that are from some of my favorite designers and some of the coolest cuts:

Do you shop any of these designers regularly?

Can’t leave home without my trusty white hat from Salmagundi.

This dress will definitely go on repeat along with the hat that you see here from Salmagundi. I love that it has pockets, and cool red piping along the edges. What are some of your favorite details about clothing that make things just impossible to ignore or pass up?

Are there ticks in those high grass shoots in front of my face? I hope not…

I loved pairing this dress with another great find from vacay shopping… These chunky neon Lilly Pulitzer earrings I found in Nantucket at In the Pink. Here are some similar ones if you are looking for cool tassel earrings:
