Bella Sante Spa’s Wellesley Media Day

I got invited by my pal Sue Hartigan to join her at the Bella Sante Media day. Little did my friend know that Bella Sante was actually the first spa in Boston I ever stepped foot in. I have always loved their Newbury Street location, and was delighted to be able to try out their newer larger Wellesley location. Situated cozily in the same building as The Cottage, I was greeted by ample rock star parking. The spa had a light and airy open feel to it. I got a mini pedicure with Thuy, who had magical hands. She made my toes look fantastic and all the while I relaxed in the throne-like massage chair, sipping on tea.

Next, I was treated to a mini  hydra facial. I’ve never had a hydra facial before, so I was a bit nervous. Immediately, Rimante put me at ease, she explained every step of the way what she was applying to my skin. The machine she used was state of the art.

The best thing about it was she was able to do the dreaded extractions with this gentle suction tip. She described it as feeling like a cat licking your face, but it was way more innocuous than that!

My skin felt and looked like a smooth shiny baby’s bottom after the lovely treatment. I will definitely go back again!

And if you are in the market for laser hair removal, they said that their new laser machine has a larger surface area, which means less zaps and much less pain! I’m all for less pain. They have this machine in the Wellesley location and are going to be getting one soon in the Boston location as well. Happy zapping!
